About Me

I am a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Prior to that I was a Postdoctoral fellow at the J. Herbert Smith Center for Technology Management & Entrepreneurship, University of New Brunswick, Canada.  I obtained my Ph.D. from the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering (CIISE), Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. Before enrolling in the Ph.D. program, I was a lecturer at Taif University, Saudi Arabia. I taught undergraduate computer science courses—object oriented programming, data structure and algorithms, distributed systems, artificial intelligence, and discrete mathematics. Furthermore, I obtained a Master of Technology degree from the International Institute of Information Technology – Bangalore (IIIT-B), India.

       My interest is in performing research that leads to excellent theories and exciting applications. I am broadly engaged with generative AI, time-series analysis, fault detection in network telemetry, distributed and federated optimization, differential privacy, Internet-of-things, and federated learning.
